Climate protection refers to all measures and activities aimed at slowing down or preventing climate change. This includes strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, promote renewable energy, improve energy efficiency, etc.
Climate change mitigation is crucial to limiting the negative consequences of climate change and ensuring a sustainable future for the environment and future generations.

Environmental protection is about much more than just reducing CO₂ emissions; rather, it consists of a wide range of different measures that together can make a significant contribution to protecting our beautiful world. This is how we are committed:

What happens at our plant in Soest
100% green energy
At our production facility, we use exclusively 100% green electricity, which comes from a mix of renewable energy sources. This sustainable energy source not only helps us avoid CO₂ emissions but also generates no radioactive waste throughout the entire production process.
Reduction of gas consumption
In 2023, we took a significant step toward energy efficiency by reducing our gas consumption by 300,000 kWh. We achieved this, among other things, by utilizing the waste heat from our heating systems to warm our rooms.
Investing to reduce CO₂
We have invested in replacing all lighting in our production with 100% energy-saving LED lights. This results in a savings of 17.14 tons of CO₂ per year – equivalent to around 70 flights from Munich to Berlin.
Recycling is required
At our site in Soest, everything that can be separated is consistently sorted. As a result, we proudly achieve a separate collection rate of over 80%.
HOW WE OPTIMISE OUR PACKAGING
Our goal: products from recycled plastic
Our Bübchen products are filled in bottles made exclusively from 100% recycled plastic. However, our ambition goes beyond this: we are also working on using labels and caps made from 100% recycled material
Development
In 2024, we will take an important step in our production: the bubble bath sachets will be made from 100% recyclable mono-material in future. This change will not only make it easier to dispose of them at home after use, but will also help protect our environment
Minimize trash
We are constantly optimising our processes and have managed to reduce our product waste during production processes by 45%. The product waste is treated in a waste water plant and disposed of thermally after treatment. This has significantly reduced the collection cycle for residual product waste
Recyclate for repackaging
Of course, we are also responsible for the outer packaging and palletising. We have therefore changed the film used to wrap the finished pallets from a conventional wrapping film to a film containing 30% recycled material, and we even use 100% recycled film for the cover film. In this way, we ensure that our products not only reach their destination safely, but also in an environmentally friendly way
